My interaction with MarketWare has been a rewarding experience. A few years ago, I was seeking a program to track physician referral development, store and house data and follow up, similar to ACT! for sales tracking. It was a very pleasant surprise to discover one of these programs that was specific to physician marketing, as it had been developed for a diagnostic company’s use for this same purpose.
Our initial training, [the MarketWare Consultant’s] commitment and time, including patience in dealing with a non technical team of folks far exceeded my expectation. [The MarketWare Consultant’s] communications as well as follow up with our Information Technology Dept and the lead representative for the program has been great.
I feel strongly that this program has benefited the referral development team, by organizing, saving time, tracking their tasks, and follow up items, and it has provided a place to store the multitude of information we used to carry around on business cards in a folder, and rely on memory at times.
Recently, El Camino Hospital in Mountain View California acquired Los Gatos Hospital. It was up to the Physician Relations team to reach out to the Los Gatos physicians to make the transition easy for them and to answer any questions they had about the acquisition. During this changeover, it was easy for physicians to look at other options in the area.
Using MarketWare’s Physician Relations CRM the Physician Relations team created a target list of all the physicians to visit. Systemically, they were able to successfully reach out to each Los Gatos physician.
The Physician Relations team was then asked to report on every physician issue they encountered. Working with their dedicated MarketWare Consultant they created a customized report tailored to their specific needs.
El Camino administration reviews reports generated from MarketWare every month. Doing so, has provided them with the knowledge they need to know how to maintain their valuable physician relationships.
Customizing MarketWare
Hoag Hospital’s Physician Relations team works with physicians to select and implement EMR systems. Using MarketWare, Hoag has been able to successfully identify and track which physicians are potential candidates for an EMR system, physicians who are scheduled for an EMR install, and physicians who previously had an EMR system installed and who need important follow up.
Hoag Hospital has been able to take advantage of MarketWare’s ability to be customized to their specific need. Tracking relevant and detailed information through customizing MarketWare has increased Hoag’s ability to be effective and efficient in managing their EMR systems and more importantly their Physician Relations.
Data Feeds From Medical Staff Services
Hoag Hospital routinely imports updated information from Medical Staff Services into MarketWare. The data from Medical Staff Services often has incorrect information, such as a different or non-existent Group/Practice Names.
With MarketWare’s powerful import wizard, MarketWare Consultants have been able to stop incorrect information from getting transferred into the database. Conveniently, MarketWare provides nightly updates preformed automatically without any user intervention.
Michael Delgado, Senior Manager of Business Development at Southeast Missouri Hospital, had the responsibility to purchase a Customer Relationship Management system to manage the relationships of his referring physicians.
While looking for a software solution he had three goals.
First: To find software he and his liaisons could easily use and one in which he could customize for his physician relations. He was able to accomplish his first goal when he came across MarketWare’s Physician Relationship Management system which is completely customized for Physician Relations.
“We were able to tailor the software to meet our unique circumstances, and MarketWare Support has been quick to respond to any support request, including requests for database changes.”
Second: To find software with the flexibility his liaisons needed. Michael’s liaisons find themselves constantly on the road visiting physicians. He was looking for a CRM that could be accessed when his liaisons were on the road.
“We wanted a database program that allows us to have access to the database while we are out in the field. With MarketWare’s ability to go ‘off-line’ we have the ability to enter information into MarketWare anywhere we have an internet connection or not.”
Third: Michael’s final goal was to find something that was affordable. He did not want to break the bank for a software program. He was able to find affordability with MarketWare.
Without third party distributors or extra costs for important features like offline views, MarketWare was the Physician Relationship Management program for Michael Delgado at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
